You had one job (or my unprofessional review of The Maze Runner)

Let's get something straight first, I'm not saying that I hated or didn't like the movie. On the contrary, I actually loved the movie (except some little things here and there). Another thing, this "review" isn't supposed to be serious in any way, I'm just stating some things that I liked and didn't like in the movie. Warning, spoilers ahead (unless you've finished the first book so no spoilers? I think?)

Also this is basically a rant of feelings you've been warned.



Okay, let's start with the thing that I hated like the most (that I also knew about before I saw the movie), which was Newt not calling Thomas "Tommy". Seriously, why? He's the only one that calls him Tommy please don't take that away please. Now I know it sounds stupid but it's important to me... On the subject of Newt, they didn't mention that he was a runner and got injured that's why he's not a runner. As you can tell, Newt is my favorite character in the book and the movie.

Also, the telepathy between Teresa and Thomas is basically nonexistent. When Teresa woke up she just went "THOMAS". No, okay. No... She says something else. Alby's death was completely ruined. A lot of things were rushed and it kinda made me cringe but not so much. A lot of changes to the story. The serum coming later in the movie. Galy not going through the changing pissed me off I mean that's really important I'm not kidding. Yeah, that's about it for the things I didn't like,

What I liked:

• Thomas Brodie-Sangster's portrayal of Newt (you saw that one coming)
• Gally is actually nicer in the movie.
• Newt limping while walking and running. A+ portrayal.
• Chuck.
• New being happy when Minho said that New should be a runner (HIS FACE).
• The movie. I loved the movie.
• Newt and Thomas by the bonfire on the first day, having a drink, and Newt telling Thomas about the people in The Glade? Yes.
• Teresa throwing rocks at the boys.

Alright, that's about it. Oh God, I'm sorry if this is stupid, but yeah, rants. Anyways, I'll be off, reading The Scorch Trials.
